Overview

PomoBorrow is a 24-hour activity tracking timer with an Autonomous Context Engine (ACE) for passive activity detection. We built this app with a privacy-first philosophy: your data never leaves your device.

What Data We Collect

PomoBorrow collects the following data locally on your device:

• Location data — GPS coordinates used to detect your current activity context (home, work, gym, etc.). Location is sampled in the background when you grant "Always" permission.
• Activity timestamps — When you start or stop an activity, the time is recorded locally.
• Activity labels — The names and colors you assign to activities you track.
• ACE inference data — Pattern data the ACE engine builds from your location history to improve automatic activity detection. This never leaves your device.

How Data Is Stored

All data is stored in a local SQLite database on your device. There is no cloud sync, no remote database, and no account system. If you delete the app, all data is permanently deleted.

Data Transmission

We transmit zero data to any server. PomoBorrow has no backend, no analytics SDK, no crash reporting service, and no third-party data sharing of any kind. The app operates entirely offline.

Third-Party Services

PomoBorrow uses Mapbox to render the location heatmap. Mapbox may collect tile request metadata (your approximate map viewport) according to Mapbox's privacy policy. No personally identifiable information or raw GPS coordinates are shared with Mapbox.

No Analytics or Advertising

PomoBorrow contains no advertising, no analytics SDKs (no Firebase, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude, no Sentry), and no in-app purchase tracking. We do not build behavioral profiles.

Children's Privacy

PomoBorrow is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Deleting Your Data

You can delete all locally stored data at any time by navigating to Settings > Reset ACE within the app, or by uninstalling the app entirely.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Since all data is local and we collect nothing server-side, policy changes will not affect data you have already generated.
